ROYALS STAY UNDEFEATED WITH 4-2 WIN OVER BLAZERS
The Victoria Royals improved to 3-0-0-0 as they doubled up the Kamloops Blazers by a score of 4-2. Chaz Reddekopp and Tyler Soy each scored a pair of goals for the Royals while goaltender Coleman Vollrath stopped 26 shots in the win. Blazers forward Jesse Zaharichuk tallied a pair of assists in a losing cause.

CALGARY 3, BRANDON 2
The Calgary Hitmen edged the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-2 in what was a rematch of the 2015 WHL Eastern Conference Championship Series. Radel Fazleev earned first star honours for the Hitmen with a goal and an assist. Wheat Kings forward Nolan Patrick tallied two assists in a third period rally from Brandon. The Hitmen executed on the power play going 2/7 and held the Wheat Kings scoreless in six power play opportunities.

BRONCOS 1, REBELS 5
Red Deer scored three first period goals en route to a dominant 5-1 win against the Swift Current Broncos. The Rebels outshot the Broncos by a 48-25 margin with forward Ivan Nikolishin netting two goals along with an assist to cap off a three point night. The Rebels capitalized twice on the power play and did a good job staying out of the penalty box as they did not surrender a power play opportunity to Swift Current.

CHIEFS 2, ICE 5
Luke Philp netted two goals and tallied an assist to help the Kootenay ICE pick up their first victory of the season with a 5-2 win over the Spokane Chiefs. ICE forward Zak Zborosky scored two goals as well while Vince Loschiavo added a couple of assists in the win. Goaltender Keelan Williams had a strong performance in his first start of the season making 35 saves to earn his first victory.
GIANTS 4, RAIDERS 5 (SO)
Reid Gardiner was the hero for the Prince Albert Raiders as he scored the lone goal in a shootout to give his Club the 5-4 victory over the Vancouver Giants. Gardiner also chipped in a goal and an assist as the Raiders fired 37 shots on goal. Giants forward Alec Baer scored the game tying goal with 35 seconds remaining to force overtime while Dakota Odgers collected two points (1g-1a) in a losing effort.

TIGERS 3, BLADES 2 (OT)
The Medicine Hat Tigers overcame an early two goal deficit to defeat the Saskatoon Blades 3-2 in overtime. Tigers forward Steven Owre buried his first goal of the campaign midway through the overtime period to help the Tigers earn the road win. The Tigers outshot the Blades 38-22 in the victory.

ROCKETS 5, OIL KINGS 3
After trailing 3-1 late in the second period, the Kelowna Rockets scored four unanswered goals to beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-3. Cole Linaker scored his first goal of the season late in the third period on a Rockets power play to break a 3-3 tie and added an empty netter to seal the win for Kelowna. Oil Kings forward Lane Bauer scored two goals to claim first star honours albeit in a losing cause.
