2019 Western Hockey League Playoffs Three Stars: Tuesday, April 23, 2019

1. Vince Loschiavo, Edmonton Oil Kings: The Oil Kings forward scored a pair of goals as part of a three-point night in a 5-1 win against the Prince Albert Raiders Tuesday. Loschiavo scored the first and third goals of the game for the Oil Kings, adding a secondary assist on their second goal.

The Winnipeg, Man. product now has 14 points (7G-7A) in 13 games during the 2019 WHL Playoffs. For his WHL Playoffs career, Loschiavo has 15 points (8G-7A) in 34 games between the Oil Kings, Moose Jaw Warriors, and Kootenay ICE.  

2. Jake McGrew, Spokane Chiefs: The San Jose Sharks prospect and Spokane Chiefs forward scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime win against the Vancouver Giants. McGrew scored 8:51 into the fourth period to secure the win and get the Spokane Chiefs their first win in the Western Conference Championship.

The Orange, Calif. product seven points (2G-5A) in 12 games during the 2019 WHL Playoffs. McGrew has 13 points (4G-9A) in 19 games for his WHL Playoffs career.

3. Trey Fix-Wolansky, Edmonton Oil Kings: The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect and Oil Kings captain recorded three assists in his team’s 5-1 win Tuesday against the Raiders. Fix-Wolansky recorded primary assists on Edmonton’s second and third goals of the game, also picking up a secondary assist on their first goal.

The Edmonton, Alta. product has 12 points (4G-8A) in the 2019 WHL Playoffs.
