The Victoria Royals added some much-needed depth to their blue line Monday night, acquiring 19-year-old Jameson Murray from the Everett Silvertips.

In return, the Silvertips have received a seventh-round selection in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The Royals also acquired a 10th round selection in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft as part of the deal.

A 6-foot-3, 183-pound product of Kelowna, British Columbia, Murray has appeared in 70 WHL regular season games, recording nine points (2G-7A). Of those 70 games, 63 have come with the Calgary Hitmen while the other seven came from the Silvertips following a deal between the two clubs at last year’s WHL Trade Deadline.
