Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 18-year-old forward Rob Trzonkowski (pronounced CHIN-koss-key) from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.  

Trzonkowski, who stands at 6’1” and 195lbs, has completed two seasons in the WHL. In 111 career games, the right winger has 4 goals, 12 assists and 16 points to go along with 200 penalty minutes. 

“Rob was a player we targeted and wanted to add to our forward group this season,” commented General Manager, Craig Bonner. “He is a big physical forward who will add some needed size to our forward group. We are looking forward to Rob joining our team.”

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today that they have acquired a fourth round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for forward Rob Trzonkowski.

“We would like to thank Rob for two seasons in Calgary and wish him success with the Blazers,” commented Calgary Hitmen Executive VP, Alternate Governor and General Manager Kelly Kisio. 

Trzonkowski, a native of Calgary, Alberta, recorded four goals and 12 assists for 16 points and had 200 penalty minutes over 111 games.  The 18-year-old forward represented Team Pacific in the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he tallied three goals.

The Hitmen drafted Trzonkowski in the eighth round, 155th overall, in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
