Acquired by the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 1st round of the 2008 CHL Import Draft, Tomas was also selected by the New York Rangers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in the third round, 90th overall...Tomas has also represented the Czech Republic in the 2008 and 2009 world junior hockey championships...Recorded his first WHL goal on December 12, 2008 versus the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
