2009-10 - Tallied his first WHL Hat Trick on October 3rd, 2009 in the Canes 9-2 win over the Prince George Cougars... 2008-09 - In 08-09 finished with a career high 25 points (8G, 17A) in 65 games... Named the winner of the Hurricanes Hardest Working Hurricane Award... 2007-08 - Had a solid rookie season for the Hurricanes and is yet another player from the talented Hurricanes Bantam draft class of 2006... Was the recipient of the Hurricanes “Fittest Rookie” award in 07-08 for the player who performs best in the Training Camp fitness testing. Ironically Canes veteran Carter Bancks (whom Braes’ style of play is often compared to) won this award on 06-07... Named co-winner of the 07-08 Hurricanes Most Sportsmanlike Player Award... 2006-07 - Drafted by the Hurricanes in the third round (48th overall) of the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft
