Born May 19th, 1989 in Topolcany, Slovakia…acquired by the Blades from the Kelowna Rockets along with defenseman Colin Joe for a 1st round pick in the 2008 CHL Import Draft and a 5th round Bantam Draft pick in 2009…originally selected by the Rockets in the 1st round (7th overall) in the 2007 CHL Import Draft…made his WHL debut (as a member of the Kelowna Rockets) on September 22nd, 2007 versus the Tri-City Americans…recorded his first career point that same night…scored his first goal and had his first multiple point game on October 27th, 2007 versus the Moose Jaw Warriors…picked up his first multiple goal game on November 9th, 2007 versus the Prince George Cougars…made his Blades debut on September 19, 2008 versus the Prince Albert Raiders…picked up his first goal and point in a Blades uniform in that game...recorded his first multiple point game as a Blade on October 4th, 2008 versus the Tri-City Americans…had his first multiple goal game as a member of the Blades and his first career three-point game on January 10th, 2009 versus the Moose Jaw Warriors…selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 5th round (127th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft…signed an entry-level contract with the Oilers on May 24th, 2009.
