Biography
Tyler came to the Tigers as a listed player and most recently played his third season with the Tigers...Last season, Tyler quickly established himself as an offensive threat and power play specialist...Tyler's skills have landed him the chance to play amongst the world's best players in the under 16, under 17 and under 18 tournaments for Hockey Canada...During the summer of 2006, Tyler was a member of Canada's U-18 gold medal winning team... Tyler was also a member of the Tigers 2006-07 WHL Championship team...Tyler recenlty represented Team WHL versus Team Russia at the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge, while he also was named to participate at the 2008 Home Hardware Top Prospects game. In the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Tyler was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1st Round (26th Overall). As a member of Team Canada's 2009 National Junior Team, Tyler helped Canada to it's fifth straight gold medal. Named 2007-08 & 2008-09 WHL MOST SPORTSMANLIKE PLAYER. Tyler signed a 3-year NHL Entry contract with the Buffalo Sabres.
