WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE - Coordinator, Video

The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the World’s finest development leagues with 22 Member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is inviting applications for the position of Coordinator, Video at their Calgary based WHL Office.

The Coordinator, Video will be responsible to manage all aspects of video production for the WHL including Hockey Operations and Discipline, Officiating, the WHL website, and marketing/advertising.  

Candidates for the position should have video production experience in hockey or a related sports industry. In addition, candidates should possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects. Additionally, experience as a videographer, with video editing experience (Adobe Premiere preferred) is required. Graphic production is also an asset.  A post-secondary degree in communications or broadcasting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Experience in hockey, at a Club or League level, would be an asset.  Candidates must be available for flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Okanagan Hockey School: Director of Recruitment

Okanagan Hockey Group (OHG) operates hockey academies, hockey camps, combines, showcases and training programs in North America and Europe. It is the longest running hockey program in the world with professional instruction since 1963.

OHG, based in Penticton, BC, Canada, is seeking a candidate looking to pursue a career in the hockey industry. This position is a management role dedicated to recruit players to our high performance programs. The successful candidate will work primarily with the combines and showcase events as well as support and contribute to the academy division.

The successful applicant will have:

- Pro hockey experience as a player, coach, scout or executive

- Extensive experience in the grass roots of hockey at the minor and junior levels

- Be respected within the greater hockey community

- University degree and or related experience

- Sales Experience and a business background

- Confident with excellent communication skills written and verbal

- Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills

- Strong managerial skills and be a self-starter

- Willingness to travel extensively

Compensation will be salary and benefit package.
