#WHLPlayoffs Three Stars: April 3, 2018

The final WHL Three Stars of Round One of the 2018 WHL Playoffs were once again led by Victoria Royals captain Matthew Phillips (Calgary Flames).

Phillips once again had a multi-goal performance to led his Royals to a Game Seven victory against the Vancouver Giants. Phillips tallied Victoria’s third and fourth goals of the game, the latter of which would stand up as the series-winning goal. Phillips ultimately finished the series with 16 points (6G-10A) in the seven-game series, leading both clubs in Round One.

Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman Kale Clague (Los Angeles Kings) tallied a playoff-high four assists Tuesday as the Warriors won the seventh and deciding game in their Round One series against the Prince Albert Raiders. Clague ultimately finished with seven points (1G-6A) in the seven-game series.

Rounding out the three stars Tuesday was Portland Winterhawks goaltender Cole Kehler (Los Angeles Kings), who stopped 30 of 31 shots to earn the victory at home in Game Seven.
