Brian King of the Everett Silvertips is the WHL’s Western Conference Scholastic Player of the Year and nominee for the WHL’s Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Memorial Trophy as WHL Scholastic Player of the Year. Academically, the product of Golden, Colo. had quite a year. He joins the program to discuss his success in the classroom ahead of the 2017 WHL Awards, set for Wednesday, May 3 at the Deerfoot Inn in Calgary.

On the heels of the 2017 WHL Awards is the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft, which goes Thursday, May 4 at the Deerfoot Inn in Calgary. Forward Josh Pillar of the Sask Valley Vipers is one of the top prospects coming out of Saskatchewan. He chats with Jon about the excitement leading up to draft day.
