The Swift Current Broncos have advanced to round two of the big dance for the first time since 2008. Manny Viveiros, head coach and director of player personnel for the Broncos, joins the program to discuss a seven-game series win over the Moose Jaw Warriors and what he expects from a second-round matchup with the Regina Pats.
Speaking of the Regina Pats, captain Adam Brooks was named WHL Player of the Month for March. He’s having a strong post-season and joins Phil Andrews, play-by-play voice of the Pats, to chat about expectations heading into the second round against the Swift Current Broncos.
This past Sunday, the Everett Silvertips and Victoria Royals made WHL and CHL history, establishing a new record for the longest game played. A five-overtime thriller in Game 6 of their best-of-seven first-round series was brought to an end by Cal Babych, who scored the winning marker. He chats with Mike Benton, play-by-play voice of the Silvertips, about scoring the big goal and what his club needs to do to maintain success moving forward this post-season.
