WHL Playoffs on Shaw: Rebels Look to Respond Against Brandon in Game 3

CALGARY, AB – Jake DeBrusk and the Red Deer Rebels look to get back into this series against Reid Duke and the Brandon Wheat Kings for Game 3of the WHL Eastern Conference Championship on Tuesday night, live on SHAW HD channel 304 at (7:00pm MT/6:00pm PT).

The Brandon Wheat Kings did what they needed to do by winning the first two games of the WHL Eastern Conference Championship on home ice. Wheat Kings forward Reid Duke leads the team in scoring with 20 points (6g-14a) which also places the 20-year-old second overall amongst WHL skaters. Brandon has scored 12 power play goals throughout the WHL Playoffs and clicking at a 22.6% rate while their penalty kill is operating at a 79.6% success rate. The Wheat Kings are 9-1-0-0 when leading after 40 minutes of play in the post-season.

Jake DeBrusk and the Red Deer Rebels return to home ice where they own a 6-1 record, including five straight victories. The Rebels look to avoid going down three games to none to the Wheat Kings with a win on Tuesday night. DeBrusk has been consistent for the Rebels as he has notched 14 points (6g-8a) in 14 games to rank second in Club scoring. Red Deer’s power play has amassed 13 goals in the playoffs and is operating at an effective 24.5% rate.

Brandon and Red Deer each won two games in their four regular season match-ups this year.
