Wheat Kings, Hurricanes to open second round in Lethbridge


Linden McCorrister sent the Brandon Wheat Kings into the second round of the 2018 WHL Playoffs Sunday evening, striking 10:37 into overtime to give his Club a 5-4 triumph over the Medicine Hat Tigers. The victory vaulted the Wheat Kings past Medicine Hat in six games, setting up for a best-of-seven second-round series with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Lethbridge will play host to Games 1 and 2, set for Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7, respectively. Puck drop both nights is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Following Game 2, the series will shift east to Brandon, with Game 3 slotted for Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. CT.

The Hurricanes advanced to the second round of the 2018 WHL Playoffs by dispatching the Red Deer Rebels in five games.
