Warriors acquire DeRoose from Giants
Vancouver Giants


Tristyn DeRoose is heading back to his home province.

The Vancouver Giants winger was dealt to the Moose Jaw Warriors Tuesday in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in the 2020 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

A native of Caylon, Sask., DeRoose signed with the Giants in January 2016 after passing through the draft and made his debut in March of that year. In 58 games with the Giants, DeRoose had one goal and six points while accumulating 91 penalty minutes.

Through four pre-season games this year, DeRoose had no points and 25 penalty minutes.
