VICTORIA ROYALS SEEKING ATHLETIC THERAPIST

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be certified through CATA or NATA and have strong communication skills with experience in the hockey industry. CSCS certification recommended but not necessary. It is essential that the successful candidate understands the hockey environment and is able to handle the challenges it brings to the day-to-day work atmosphere. The applicant will report directly to the GM/Head Coach.

Some of the duties are as follows:

Working with team doctor
Injury assessment, rehabilitation and prevention
Maintaining a professional and clean work environment for all players/staff at all times
Ordering and maintaining inventory of all medical supplies for team/doctors
Documentation of all injuries
Communicating all injuries to coaches and management
Implementing team’s emergency action plan
Coordinating and recording baseline testing
Educating players on prohibited supplements list
Completing and submitting weekly injury report to WHL office
Dressing room requirement
Game preparation
Other duties as assigned
