THUNDERBIRDS ROLL OVER AMERICANS – Connor Sanvido scored twice and set up two more as the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds pulled off an 8-4 win over the Tri-City Americans in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Thursday.
Seth Swenson – with two goals – Luke Lockhart, Roberts Lipsbergs, Riley Sheen and Alex Delnov also scored for the Thunderbirds (15-13-1-0), who overcame a 4-2 deficit with six unanswered goals to post their third win in a row. Brandon Glover made 34 saves to record his 14th win of the season.
Malte Stromwall and Brian Williams each had a goal and an assist while Parker Bowles and Beau McCue also counted for the Americans (17-11-1-1), who have lost four of their last five games. Eric Comrie made 26 saves in a losing cause.
