Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the Week 25 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2016-17 season.  The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top-10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The Regina Pats remain the highest-ranked WHL team in CHL Top 10, moving from third to second in the latest edition of the weekly list. The Pats secured the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as WHL Regular Season Champions Tuesday night with a win over the Saskatoon Blades, which followed on the heels of two victories over the Moose Jaw Warriors and another over the Swift Current Broncos. This is the 24th week the Pats have been mentioned among the best in the CHL. Next, Regina hosts the Broncos Wednesday night.

The Medicine Hat Tigers slide two spots in this week’s CHL Top 10, falling from seventh to ninth. Tuesday night, the Tigers were served a hefty loss at the hands of the Red Deer Rebels, though managed to knock off the Edmonton Oil Kings twice last week. This is the 11th week the Tigers have been ranked. Next up, the Tigers wrap the regular season with a home-and-home series against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Seattle Thunderbirds break back into the CHL Top 10 once again. Last week, the Thunderbirds defeated the Portland Winterhawks and Everett Silvertips to remain atop the U.S. Division standings. This is the third week Seattle has found a place amidst the nation’s top teams. Next, the Thunderbirds visit the Spokane Chiefs Wednesday night.

The Everett Silvertips serve as the final WHL representative in this week’s CHL Top 10, having earn an honourable mention.
