Kent, Wash. — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has acquired a sixth round bantam pick in the 2020 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades for center Nakodan Greyeyes.

Greyeyes, from Winnipeg, Man., was selected by the Thunderbirds in the sixth round, 117th overall, in the 2016 Bantam Draft. This past season, Greyeyes played 36 games for the Rink Hockey Academy Prep team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League, totaling 53 points (24G-29A).

“Nakodan is a player we feel took notable strides forward as a player this season,” said Blades Director of Scouting, Dan Tencer. “He has a good individual skill package, sees the ice well, has good size and most importantly has a lot of character. He’s a player with upside that gives us added depth and competition in a key age group. We’re pleased to be able to welcome Nakodan and his family to the Blades.”

Season Tickets for the 2018-19 season are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
