Silvertips ready to toss teddy bears in Everett
Chris Mast

EVERETT, Wash. – Teddy Bear Toss presented by Jersey Mike’s Evergreen Way is right around the corner at Xfinity Arena! Coming up on December 2, 2017 the Everett Silvertips will be taking on the Saskatoon Blades at 7:05 pm.

On a night to let the fur fly, the first Silvertips goal of the evening will signal the start of the Teddy Bear Toss where fans will throw teddies on to the ice to be donated to two worthy organizations this holiday season.

Christmas House has its roots in the garage of Roy Fraser who in 1981 was determined to make sure that every child had a gift on Christmas. Focusing in Snohomish County he gave gifts to 100 kids that year. In the years following the organization has grown exponentially.

Now in their 37th year they are providing over 40,000 gifts to 7,900 children.

Also joining the Silvertips this year for Teddy Bear Toss as a second recipient for donations is Warm 106.9’s Teddy Bear Patrol.

Teddy Bear Patrol has partnered with Shuttle Express to bring stuffed animals to places like hospitals, fire departments, and police stations. These donations are used to comfort kids in scary or high stress situations. So far in 2017 they have made 32 deliveries of 9,860 bears!

The Silvertips are excited to be a part of the giving this holiday season. Warm 106.9 and their Teddy Bear Ambassador, “Wendell” will be joining us at the game!

TIP: bring your bear stuffed in a bag! We’ll also have bagging stations around the concourse of XFINITY Arena that night.

Get your tickets here, we’ll see you there!
