Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the Week 22 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2016-17 season.  The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top-10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The Regina Pats slide from their previous perch, falling into the No. 2 slot this week. Knocking off the Swift Current Broncos and Prince Albert Raiders, the Pats also fell to the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Moose Jaw Warriors over the past week. Next up, Regina visits the Saskatoon Blades before playing host to the Swift Current Broncos in back-to-back outings. This is the 21st week the Pats have been ranked among the CHL’s best.

While the Pats fall, the Everett Silvertips climb in the CHL Top 10, moving from ninth to seventh this week. Everett is riding a five-game winning streak, including victories over the Saskatoon Blades, Prince Albert Raiders and Swift Current Broncos while on an eastern road swing this past week. Back at home, the Silvertips are set to host the Portland Winterhawks and Kamloops Blazers before visiting the Seattle Thunderbirds this weekend. Everett has been ranked among the CHL’s top clubs for 18 weeks.

The Medicine Hat Tigers slip into ninth in the CHL Top 10. Recently, the Tigers dropped contests with the Swift Current Broncos and Moose Jaw Warriors, offset with a big win over the Edmonton Oil Kings. Upcoming for Medicine Hat is a Friday road date against the Calgary Hitmen before returning home to host the Brandon Wheat Kings. This is the eighth week the Tigers have been ranked in the CHL Top 10.

Earning an honourable mention is the Seattle Thunderbirds.
