Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the Week 16 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2016-17 season.  The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top-10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The Regina Pats rank as the the nation’s best team once again, finding a place in the CHL Top 10 for the 15th week this season. Last weekend, the Pats defeated the Calgary Hitmen before suffering a rare home loss at the hands of the Moose Jaw Warriors. With the addition of defenceman Josh Mahura and forward Jeff de Wit, the Pats will look to get back in the win column Friday when they host the Tri-City Americans.

The Everett Silvertips hold strong in the No. 3 position after dropping a shootout decision to the Seattle Thunderbirds last weekend. This marks the 13th week Everett appears in the CHL Top 10. The Silvertips return to action in search of victory Wednesday night when they host the Spokane Chiefs.

The Prince George Cougars round out WHL representation in the CHL Top 10, landing on the 10th rung. This is the 15th week the Cougars rank among the country’s best squads. After splitting a pair of games with the Victoria Royals over the weekend, the Cougars dropped a road tilt in Red Deer Tuesday evening. Prince George continues through Alberta with a Wednesday meeting in Medicine Hat and a Friday date against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Medicine Hat Tigers earned an honourable mention in this week’s edition of the CHL Top 10. The Tigers are winners of two straight after knocking off the Vancouver Giants and Edmonton Oil Kings this past weekend. Medicine Hat hosts the Prince George Cougars on Wednesday.
