RED DEER REBELS: Shaun Sutter Takes On Bigger Role

RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the appointment of Shaun Sutter as Assistant General Manager/Director of Player Personnel. Previously Shaun Sutter was the team’s Senior Scout, and with this move, he will relocate to Red Deer from Calgary. 

Shaun Sutter played four seasons in the Western Hockey League from 1997-2001 with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Medicine Hat Tigers and Calgary Hitmen.  He was a 4th round selection of the Calgary Flames in the 1998 National Hockey League Draft and played 8 seasons of professional hockey. 

After retiring in 2009, Shaun was an Assistant Coach with the Regina Pats from 2009-11.  He has been the Red Deer Rebels Senior Scout since 2011.
