REBELS ACQUIRE VASKO FROM ROCKETS
 

RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, Owner/President/General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today that forward Filip Vasko has been acquired from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for a conditional 6th round draft pick in the 2013 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. 

Vasko is in his second year in the WHL, he has played in 70 games, scoring 3 goals and 19 assists for 22 points.

The Kelowna Rockets have traded European import player Filip Vasko to the Red Deer Rebels.

Vasko, a native of Humenne, Slovakia, was in his second season with the Rockets and had three goals and seven assists in 19 games played this season.

In return for Vasko, the Rockets acquire a conditional sixth round bantam draft selection in 2013.

Vasko joined the Rockets for the 2011-12 WHL season and had 12 assists in 51 games last year as a rookie.

The Rockets are coming off a 3-2 win over Tri City last night in Kelowna, the team's ninth straight home ice victory.
