Raiders sign forward George King

The Prince Albert Raiders have signed ’98-born forward George King.

King, who hails from Calgary, AB, had five goals in 18 games with the Regina Pats earlier this season. Last season, the 6-foot-0, 171-pound right winger was a teammate of Raider rookie Justin Nachbaur on the MJHL’s OCN Blizzard.

King had 54 points (36G-18A) in 55 games last year. He lead the team in goals and was tied for the team lead in points. The Raiders’ roster now sits at 14 forwards, seven defencemen, and two goaltenders for a total of 23 players.

The Raiders are in action on Wednesday, November 29 (7:00 p.m. PST) night in Cranbrook against the Kootenay ICE (11-14-1-0) to open a three-game road trip through the Central Division.

The next Raiders’ home game is on Wednesday, December 6 (7:00 p.m. CST) against the Medicine Hat Tigers.

On Friday, December 8 (7:00 p.m. CST) the Raiders will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss. This year’s opponent is Dylan Ferguson and the Kamloops Blazers.
