Pats sign 2018 CHL Import Draft picks Alkhimov and Sedov

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed both Sergei Alkhimov and Nikita Sedov to WHL Standard Player Agreements.

Alkhimov was taken in the first round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft, 47th overall. The 17-year-old from Russia played the 2017-18 season with the Colorado Evolution and scored eight goals and 15 assists in 13 games.

Sedov was the Pats second round pick, 107th overall, out of Moscow, Russia. Sedov, 17, also played with the Colorado Evolution last year, picking up three goals and 11 points in 11 games.

“We are very happy to have both players commit to our organization,” said Pats General Manager John Paddock. “Sergei and Nikita are coming in at 17 and will be a big part of our team for the next few years.”

Both Alkhimov and Sedov are currently in training camp with Team Russia, competing for a spot at the 2018 Hlinka/Gretzky Cup.
