Kootenay ICE sign second-overall pick Connor McClennon

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE announced today that second-overall pick Connor McClennon has signed a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.

McClennon, 5-foot-7, 156-pound forward, from Wainwright, Alta. was the CSSHL MVP and top scorer while playing for the Pursuit of Excellence bantam prep team.

“Connor’s accomplishments, high degree of skill and compete level were qualities that our scouting staff (lead by Garnet Kazuik) identified early,” said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. “Connor is humble young man, he has a great understanding of the work that lies ahead and we believe will be an important part of our group as we build moving forward.”
