ICE set for Toque, Mitten & Teddy Bear Toss Game

Kootenay ICE

Cranbrook, B.C. – The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club will be holding the A&W Toque, Mitten and Teddy Bear Toss Game on Saturday, December 16.

Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Western Financial Place.

Here are some reminders for Saturday’s game:

You can…

  •  Bring as many NEW toques, mittens or teddy bears as you like!

You should…

  • Ensure each item is wrapped in a clear plastic bag so they remain dry when hitting the ice.

Please don’t…

  • Throw anything besides toques, mittens and teddy bears onto the ice. This is to ensure the safety of the fans, players, referees and everyone else inside the building.

  • It doesn’t matter how large or small the teddy bears are – all teddy bears are welcome!

All donated items will be given to local charities and organizations.

In addition, the very talented Choir from Mount Baker High School will sing at the game and the A&W Bear will drop the puck for the ceremonial face-off. A complimentary photo booth by SnapShot will be set up to capture the festive spirit of the day.

This is one of the most anticipated and exciting ICE home games of the season and we look forward to showcasing the generosity of ICE country.

To purchase tickets to the game, stop by the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place, call 250-417-0322 or head online at

Reminder that these are the last few days to purchase your holiday ICE gifts as the ICE Gear Store will be closed from December 17-26. Regular business hours resume on December 27 which includes a 7 p.m. home game against the Calgary Hitmen.
