The Lethbridge Hurricanes will host the Red Deer Rebels to open the 2017 WHL Playoffs.

With the Medicine Hat Tigers having locked up the Central Division title and the Hurricanes firmly planted in second place, a Rebels win over the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night secured third place in the Central Division for Red Deer.
