Hitmen’s Malenstyn Scores to Help Guide Canada to 10-2 Win over Denmark

GRAND FORKS, ND – Beck Malenstyn (Calgary Hitmen) scored a goal to help lead Canada to a big 10-2 victory over Denmark in their opening contest at the 2016 World Under-18 Hockey Championship.

Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman David Quenneville tallied two assists while Tigers forward Mason Shaw scored his first goal of the tournanment in what was a dominating victory for Canada. The shots on goal favoured Canada as they outshot Denmark by a wide 52-9 margin.

Stuart Skinner (Lethbridge Hurricanes) stopped seven shots in the win. Canada went 3/6 on the power play while Denmark finished 1/5.
