The Tri-City Americans and Vancouver Giants completed a smaller deal during Wednesday’s WHL Trade Deadline, with the U.S. Division club adding 17-year-old defenceman Austin King-Cunningham to their side.

In exchange, the Giants received a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

King-Cunningham, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound product of Pilot Butte, Sask., made his WHL debut with the Giants in February 2017. In eight games with the Giants, King-Cunningham had one assist and seven penalty minutes.

The WHL’s Trade Deadline is set for 3 p.m. MT. All the trades will be listed on the WHL’s Live Blog.
