The expansion Vegas Golden Knights franchise officially added another Western Hockey League player to their ranks Thursday, signing Kamloops Blazers goaltender Dylan Ferguson to a three-year entry-level contract.

Ferguson, a seventh-round selection of the Dallas Stars in the 2017 NHL Draft last June, was dealt to the Golden Knights along with a second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft in exchange for defenceman Marc Methot this summer.

The Lantzville, B.C. product has spent his entire WHL career with the Blazers. Originally selected in the eighth-round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft with the 166th selection, Ferguson made his debut with the team Sept. 26, 2015.

Since then, Ferguson has compiled a 20-22-0-2 record in 49 games, also sporting a goals against average of 3.32, save percentage of .904 and one shutout.

Ferguson and the Blazers are back in action in the Lower Mainland this coming weekend with a Friday contest against the Vancouver Giants before a pair of contests against the Victoria Royals.
