East Division powerhouses meet as Broncos face Warriors in Round 2

 

After a pair of thrilling Game 7s, the Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos remain standing in the WHL’s East Division.

The Broncos claimed a nail-biting 3-2 triumph on Monday evening, edging out the Regina Pats to move on to the second round of the 2018 WHL Playoffs.

Down the road in Moose Jaw, the Warriors eked out a 5-4 victory over the upstart Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday evening, setting up a date between the top two teams in the WHL’s Eastern Conference.

The best-of-seven schedule gets underway Friday, April 6 at 7 p.m. MT when the Broncos travel to Mosaic Place to face the Warriors in Moose Jaw.

The series will shift to Speedy Creek for Game 3, which is slated to go Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. MT.
